Well the countdown is now on!
We are officially 3 weeks away from flying the blue skies. So far the only solid plan is Athens, Greece for a few days in September, then we'll take an overnight ferry to the Greek Island of Rhodes (Rhodes town is the site of the original colossus statue over the harbor..for my Cornwall friends...remember the statue at the corner of Pitt and Second...yeah that one ;-). From there we head to the Island of KOS and then it's off to Turkey! We have nothing booked for Turkey as of yet, but are hoping to visit Ephesus; Pamukkale; the fairy chimneys in Cappadocia, and Istanbul.
We hope to solidify plans as we go, allowing for changes depending on who we meet "on the road" and their recommendations. If any family, friends and co-workers, want to meet up with us on the road, just get in touch and we'll figure things out. Overall plan is to head east and then loop back around to Africa in the spring of next year.
